Island Girl Dreamin’ On The Way To Africa

Aloha Friends!

I’m very excited about sharing with all of you this journey to Africa! So many things are happening right now that I’m about to explode with excitement! First of all, I want to thank everyone who has supported me through prayers and financial support. I really appreciate all of your words of encouragement. It has really boosted my spirit!

I feel it is very important to bring you along on this journey with me to Ethiopia. Especially since you have invested in my dream. I promise to keep you posted every step of the way. I believe this story isn’t just for me, but for all of us. It is a message of hope, love, miracles, and healing. I can’t wait to see what God is going to do over the next few months as the time approaches. I hope my story inspires you to reach for your dreams.

There have been so many signs and wonders as I step out in faith that I feel they are important to share with all of you. I believe as I share these stories they will give you more faith and belief in your own dreams. I pray they will encourage you to step out of the boat and walk on water to your God-given destiny.

So let’s get started…

A few months ago I had a dream and a desire to go to Africa. I didn’t know exactly how this was going to happen, but the desire was really strong within my spirit. As you all know I’m very active on Social Media…. Duh:>) I ran across an Instagram account called Fund the Nations and they create Tshirts for fundraising. I did some research about them and really liked what they did.  I reached out to them with a design idea and they came up with this design below!

When I saw the shirt for the first time it grabbed my heart right away. Now I’m going to explain the shirt. The island chain of Hawaii is at the top. The word Love with the continent of Africa. Catch the wave represents catching the wave of Love to Africa and Saving Lives. And of course my island home Maui, Hawaii had to be represented here. I have been selling a lot of these thanks to all of you and of course Fund the Nations for creating an amazing Tshirt! I do have these for sale at $25 plus $5 for shipping. Please see my Estore here at this website to purchase. That was my first yes to the dream to get me moving toward Africa!

Have you said yes to your dream? I would encourage you to do so. It’s very exciting when you step out in faith and then see God start moving on your behalf just because you said yes I will go.

Signs and Wonders are following me on this journey!

I attended a Dream Conference last weekend hosted by God’s House and the speaker was Gina La Morte.

I met her way before the conference on Instagram. Totally divine appointment! I do believe in those and have had lots of these in my life. Gina reached out to me on Instagram and shared how much she loved what I was doing with Catch the Wave and Save a life! As she was sharing with me she sent me a flyer of the conference here on Maui. I was blown away because I had seen this flyer on social media before this encounter and here she was talking to me. I thought what a small world, but I knew this wasn’t an accident or just a crazy coincidence. I knew it was a God thing. She invited me to the conference so I signed up right away. A few days before the conference Gina contacted me and really was very excited to meet me. At the time I thought I was going to have to work and I was going to miss it. I went to work and was able to get off. I knew God wanted me to get to this conference. I really needed to hear from Him at this stage of the journey. Boy, did He speak loud and clear into my life that day!

The day of the conference came and my spirit was so excited! When Gina and I saw each other for the first time it was like two old friends who hadn’t seen each other in a very long time. It was amazing! As I listened to her share that morning I was so inspired. She made me realize that there is nothing I couldn’t do with God on my side. I felt that nothing was impossible as long as I believed! She really stirred my spirit and my heart. I’m so grateful God brought her into my life. Please check out her book Designing Your Dreams. This is the blueprint from the conference. I promise you will love it!

Gina also brought with her Jenny Cupp. Jenny is a prophetic painter. She has an easel up front and as the music played she would paint whatever God inspired her to do. She would paint these beautiful paintings within 20 mins and they were amazing! I loved what she was doing. During the break I went and spoke to her. She started sharing her story with me and it was like she was sharing my story as she was speaking. I told her we had a lot in common. She started to pray for me and God started confirming some things I already knew. She told me how she could see lots of driftwood scattered around. And then she could see how God was placing each piece of driftwood in a perfect row in front of me. She said he was a making all the crooked paths straight before me. I was so encouraged because I always ask God to do this in my life.

There was a painting that she had done right before our discussion and it was a large butterfly with a bunch of small butterflies in a gold cage. She started talking about the painting in our prayer and what it meant. Here is the painting below.

It says “Come out of your cage of Limitation for it is He that sets you free. Always you have had the freedom. Fly High…fly to Me…Always He says you have had the freedom now fly high to me…now fly…fly high to me…” God set me free from my cage of limitation that day. He made me realize I’ve always had the freedom to fly I just need to do it. I will fly high to Him to get to my destiny in Him. My destiny is seated in the heavenly places with Him!

I want to encourage you to come out of your cage. There are no limits to what you can do when you have God on your side. He wants you to fly high to Him. Don’t let fear keep you from believing in your dreams. Just step out in faith and watch what God does. He is waiting for you to say Yes. You will never know what is beyond that yes if you don’t fly to Him. So fly…fly high to Him!

Jenny was so gracious and gave me this painting as a gift. I now have it hanging above my dream space. As I stare at it, it is a reminder to me that God knows right where I am on this journey to Africa. He knows exactly what I need to get there and he is carefully placing the pieces of driftwood in a row before me. He is there to let me know there are no limits to what I can accomplish with Him leading the way.

I have asked God to write His story upon my heart and I’ve told Him he can hold the pen. Will you let Him write the story he wants to write for you? Will you let Him hold the pen? He will do exceedingly and abundantly above all you could ever ask or think of. Just let go and let Him lead the way. Your story needs to be written. There are people out there who need to read it and are waiting on you to say Yes…

Aloha Ke Akua,

Sandy Conway aka Fly Girl
